MSc Programme in Clinical Rheumatology & Musculoskeletal Medicine

About the course

Applications are invited for places on this MSc Programme commencing September 2017, which provides an excellent academic basis for those aiming at a career in rheumatology or related subject.  Applicants should be medically qualified and have had at least 2 years’ general medical experience following qualification.  Previous experience in rheumatology is desirable but not essential.  Applications from general practitioners, hospital based doctors and overseas based doctors are welcome.

The programme is undertaken part-time over 2 years. 

Taught modules covering:

  •  Clinical Skills
  •  Peripheral Joint Problems
  •  Spine and Bone
  •  Basic Science
  •  Connective Tissue Disease and Vasculitis
  •  Epidemiology of Musculoskeletal Disease

Research skills teaching

A supervised research project (which may be either clinical or laboratory based).  This is an integral part of the course.
