About the course

Barts Cancer Institute offers four MSc Cancer programmes. These are tailored to provide you with the specific knowledge and skills required for your chosen career.

MSc Cancer & Clinical Oncology is a non-lab based stream, aimed at clinicians who wish to pursue a career in clinical or laboratory research, cancer drug development and clinical evaluation of early phase trials. The programme is designed to provide you with a clear understanding of the scientific basis underlying the principles and clinical practice of oncology and the development, evaluation and implementation of new treatments. This will be underpinned by a thorough knowledge of cancer biology and pathology, drug development and research methodologies. The programme will provide you with a good grounding in the clinical practice of oncology, enhancing prospects for those pursuing a clinical academic career.
