About the course

ETAT+ (Emergency Triage Assessment Training plus) is a comprehensive and proven intervention developed specifically for implementation in resource poor setting reaching the poorest and most vulnerable children in rural and peri-urban areas.
ETAT+ provides hands-on training for health workers using evidence-based and up-to-date clinical protocols. It is designed to assist in the identification and management of  the most common threats to newborn and child survival.
There is growing evidence of the positive impact that ETAT training has on the quality of inpatient paediatric care. Work in Malawi found ETAT+ to have the capacity to reduce inpatient mortality by 40% (Molyneaux et al, Bull World Health Organisation, 2006).
