A basic one day course to provide beginners with all the essential principles involved in the practice of bronchoscopy, besides detailed instruction on the correct method of various sampling techniques. Topics include: indications, normal and variant anatomy, patient preparation, sedation, sterilisation and handling of scopes, sampling procedures including BAL and TBB, prevention and management of complications.  Delegates will have the opportunity to practise bronchoscopy in a simulation lab on models.  This course is suitable for Junior STs, Senior Core Medical Trainees, Bronchoscopy Nurses, Technicians, Physiotherapists and others involved in bronchoscopy.
