Medically Unexplained Symptoms

About the course

Medically unexplained symptoms may be a term that needs a new name as for some it is pejorative but in truth there are many people (one in three neurological referrals) with symptoms and disability for which no causative pathology may be found. These patients often fit poorly into disease-based care pathways and can be disproportionately demanding of resources. They need not however be heartsink cases.
