About this Course:

A one day introduction course in the use of ECHO in emergency situations. This course is aimed at clinicians with some experience of ultrasound, ideally with some Core (Level 1) experience gained already.
The purpose of the course is to build your confidence in ECHO in life-support and to introduce you to the range of potential applications of ECHO in emergency situations.

The course will include lectures on clinical governance issues, obtaining cardiac views, LV function and measurements, RV function, pericardial effusions and tamponade and valve disease, along with lots of supervised practice on normal subjects.
