About this course:
Our Emergency Medicine programme offers professional development and an academic qualification for nurses and physicians in emergency contexts. Three distinct study routes are available and all have been designed entirely by physicians and nurses experienced in emergency care. Teaching is online and based around a virtual hospital with problem-based learning and online discussions with colleagues and fellow students.
Course information:
The course is made up of two phases. Phase One provides a range of core and elective units from which students can select their personalised route. Phase Two consists of a substantial practitioner project in a chosen field of Emergency Medicine.
The units are offered on a rolling programme and will depend on the route you wish to follow with elective units chosen build on this to explore particular interests. Students are able to choose to study to Postgraduate Certificate or Postgraduate Diploma level or to continue their studies to achieve a Masters level qualification

• Leadership in Urgent Care
Paediatric Emergency Medicine units:
• Further Management of Paediatric Medical Emergencies
• Further Management of Paediatric Surgical and Psychosocial Emergencies
Who should apply:
To be considered for entry onto the programme, candidates must currently be working as either a registered medical practitioner or a registered nurse in an area of urgent or emergency care and may have an interview (usually by telephone or Skype).
