About the course
Overview: To outline the experience of frontline clinicians in a unique event and the preparation involved with mass casualty events. Speakers to include: Naomi Davis, Orthopaedic Surgeon, Manchester University Foundation Trust; Alistair Rennie, Emergency Department, Manchester University Foundation Trust; Martin Smith, Emergency Department, Salford Royal Foundation Trust. Please note that this symposium will be held from 6.00pm until 8.30pm.
Target Audience: All Surgeons consultants and trainees, particularly those with an interest in trauma. Emergency Department Clinical Staff. Clinicians and management involved in serious incident planning (medical students welcome).
Learning Style: Lectures and questions.
Aims & Objectives: To disperse information learned and to help clinical staff understand the clinical situation and roles of clinicians, units and hospitals.
Learning Outcomes: To be better prepared and informed for a mass casualty event.
