Our research currently informs the strategies of NHS Education Scotland and other regulatory bodies and helps us to turn discoveries into beneficial clinical practices. You will be taught with a focus on practical, active learning and the University of Glasgow will help you develop the flexibility needed to lead key health professions.

Choose your own path

Our online Health Professions Education programme offers you the flexibility to take one of two research routes in the second year, tailored to your career goals (including a non-research option). The research programme is appropriate for those who are interested in learning about the design, conduct and governance of education research. Both channels provide plenty of opportunities to put theory into practice, alongside your peers and lecturers. We also offer an optional, non-assessed, residential activity for students who would like some real-world practise. It’s this collaborative, practical approach that enhances your learning and allows you to excel in the industry going forwards.

Studying online means you don’t have to sacrifice your current career in order to pursue a new one. You would be able to access our interactive resources from anywhere and at any time; this includes video, audio, live seminars and discussions – whatever helps you to learn and achieve your career goals.
