About the course

Do you need to do your RCEM US training, or want to brush-up old skills or learn Covid lung US?

In our one day course we aim to give you basic PoCUS skills in abdominal (eFAST), vascular access, ECHO, aortic aneurysm and lung ultrasound (including Covid). We have been delivering one day ultrasound courses for nearly 15 years. We have a range of US machines including hand-helds (eg Butterfly IQ). We also have a state-of-the-art simulator which generates cardiac and abdominal pathology on a scannable manikin.

For Covid reasons we have adjusted our courses from 20 places to eight and taken other precautionary steps. However we are still able to offer scanning on normal subjects.

Our very popular 1 day Emergency Ultrasound course addresses the knowledge and practical skills recommended by the Royal College of Emergency Medicine as necessary to achieve competency in the four CORE (level 1) clinical applications of Emergency Ultrasound (see above). It also covers standard ECHO views, lung ultrasound and the mandatory components of ultrasound physics and governance. We offers lots of hands on practice with the opportunity to use several different machines including popular handheld devices and a simulator.
