About the course

This course approaches the practical problems that face the diagnostic pathologist when dealing with cardiovascular pathology, which is the most common cause of death in the western world. Topics covered include: Cardiac dissection, sudden cardiac death, valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathies, inherited cardiac disease, myocarditis, and post-operative deaths. We will demonstrate cardiac specimens from our large collection. CPD accreditation is being sought from the Royal College of Pathologists.

Course Description

This course aims to provide an approach to examining hearts including cases such as sudden cardiac death, valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathies, inherited cardiac disease, myocarditis, and post-operative deaths.
