Provided by Bromley Emergency Training and Research Ltd
About the course
The British Medical Ultrasound Society and Bromley Emergency Courses are pleased to offer An Introduction to Point of Care Ultrasound Study Day.
This hands-on study day is aimed at any healthcare professional seeking to increase their knowledge and skills within the field of point of care ultrasound. Six clinical areas will be covered including FAST (focused assessment with sonography for trauma), abdominal aortic aneurysms, deep vein thrombosis in the leg, vascular access, lung and echocardiography. Each area will begin with a short demonstration supported by theory, followed by a practical session led by expert faculty. Delegates will have plenty of time for hands-on experience in all areas using a combination of live models and simulators.
No prior scanning experience or knowledge is required. The day is suitable for any healthcare professional including but not limited to nurses, radiographers, acute medicine and emergency physicians, GPs, or staff in the new Rapid Access clinics.
We aim for this day to be fun, enjoyable, educational and informative!
Price: £95 for members, £150 for non-members
