Course Description
This one-day interactive course aims to enhance the attendee's knowledge and clinical skills related to vascular ultrasound pertinent to day-to-day clinical practice. The morning session will consist of interactive discussions, whilst the afternoon session will comprise of five practical stations during which the attendee will gain valuable hands-on experience in ultrasound techniques that will be applicable in a clinical setting.
The attendee will have the opportunity to practise ultrasound skills on patients (simulated or real), as well as to visualise the normal vascular anatomy.
Doctors Academy awards 6 CPD points for attendance at this course.
Course Objectives:
The course will cover key topics in the ISCP curriculum, which include:
- the ability to understand and perform basic vascular ultrasound.
- the ability to understand the principles and limitations of vascular ultrasound imaging.
- the ability to interpret vascular imaging.
- the ability to assess and plan arterio-venous fistulas (AVFs)
