About the course

This course is delivered in partnership with Scottish Mentoring Network

This course is suitable for all designations within the healthcare sector and is open to anyone with a keen interest in mentoring and those who wish to explore this important role further.

The crucial role of a mentor is to help the development of others, support career progression and identify skills that should be improved upon.  This course has therefore been specifically designed for clinicians who have an interest in engaging in professional development and contributing to the development of less experienced staff members.

This course is delivered in partnership with the Scottish Mentoring Network (SMN) and will be delivered using a variety of teaching methods. Candidates will review online material, introducing them to the principles of mentoring, with the addition of an in-person live training session. This live session will be facilitated by SMN coordinators and will cover “Mentoring Skills” and “Mentoring Conversations”.

The course will close on 13th September to allow access to the online materials in preparation for the LIVE in-person session on 27th September. This in-person session must be attended in order to complete the course.
