National CST Application and Mentorship Programme Virtual Programme Held via Zoom

This national programme is intended for Foundation Year Doctorsand Junior Doctors who are applying for Core Surgical Training in 2023.

Delivered by Core Surgical Trainees and Surgical Registrars, the programme will consist of lectures and interactive discussions on preparing a portfolio and key topics that are broached in the interview. A mock interview workshop will also be offered to those who are invited to interview.

Applicants will be assigned a mentor who will provide individualised feedback and guidance on, as well as guide the applicant through, the application process.

The first session will be held on Thursday 18th August 2022. It will provide an overview of the programme, as well as give guidance on how to maximise the summer months in order to begin to prepare the application.

Registration for this first session is free. A refundable deposit will be required to secure a place in the sessions held thereafter. This information will be made available on Thursday 18th August 2022.
