If you are interested in enhancing your leadership skills and developing practical, hand-on skills in healthcare leadership, our one of a kind four-week Introduction to leadership skills and practice in healthcare online course is now open for booking.
 
Delivered by the University’s world-renowned Institute of Dentistry, but open and applicable to all healthcare disciplines, this course has been designed and developed in collaboration with the Digital Education Studio (DES). DES is a multidisciplinary team of experts in digital education, closely working alongside the lead educators of the course, ensuring that online learning experiences are of the highest quality to meet the demands of busy healthcare professionals.

An introduction to leadership skills and practice in healthcare is a tailored, online, four-week continuing professional development course designed for aspiring leaders and professionals who are new to leadership in the public and private healthcare sectors.
 
You will explore contemporary leadership concepts such as power dynamics, influence, authenticity, leadership values, change, conflict, intersectionality in healthcare leadership, and develop practical, hands-on skills in self-leadership, network mapping, action planning and peer coaching, which will enable you to effectively navigate complex leadership challenges.
 
Our digital learning environment means you have flexibility to learn at your own pace, exploring high-quality content and activities. Throughout, you will have a chance to network in real-time and off-line with peers, industry experts, and academics in the healthcare sector, fostering valuable professional relationships and knowledge exchange. The course includes peer coaching to foster interaction and reflective practice and discussion. Following the course, you can submit an optional leadership action plan and receive one-to-one expert feedback.
