About the course

Understand the complexity of public health issues and the importance of context. The programme will examine the key disciplines informing public health practice and policy. Students will develop wider transferrable skills around critical analysis and problem solving. The programme is designed to enable you to become a critical consumer of public health evidence and to meaningfully contribute to that evidence base.

The Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry, Oral & Craniofacial Sciences, and the Institute of Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience are based at the riverside Guy's Campus, next to the Shard.

Public Health and Primary Care Dissertation (60 credits)
Basic Epidemiology & Statistics for Public Health (15 credits)
Prevention & Control of Communicable Disease (15 credits)
Healthcare Public Health (15 credits)
Health Economics (15 credits)
Health Promotion and Health Improvement (15 credits)
Social Research Methods for Public Health (15 credits)

Optional modules

In addition, you are required to take two optional modules to bring your total credits for the year to 180, from a range of optional modules, which may typically include:
