This six-week online course is tailored for mid-career professionals in healthcare leadership roles or those aspiring to such positions. It focuses on equipping participants with strategic leadership skills essential for navigating the dynamic and complex healthcare sector. With a balance of theoretical knowledge, self-reflection, and interactive learning, the program aims to cultivate leaders capable of steering healthcare organizations toward success, amidst challenges like demographic shifts, technological advancements, rising costs, and public-private sector dynamics.

  • Gain insights into leadership complexities, particularly in collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and team building.

Who The Course Is For:

The course targets manager or head-level healthcare professionals, including HR staff, clinical personnel, policymakers, and managers. It is also relevant to professionals in health-related industries seeking to enhance their strategic leadership understanding.

Course Structure:

The course is divided into three modules, each delivered over two weeks:

  1. Strategic Leadership in Healthcare
  2. Leadership in Practice
  3. Change Management

Participants will engage in approximately 10–12 hours of weekly activities, including:

  • Live online lectures and pre-recorded videos
  • Reading assignments
  • Discussion forums
  • Marked project work

Weekly live sessions with course leads provide opportunities for real-time interaction and insights.

Assessment and Certification:

Participants must complete all marked assignments, including discussion forums, written tasks, and a final project, to earn a certificate of completion and CPD points from The CPD Certification Service. Self-reflection exercises and quizzes allow participants to track their progress.

  • Dr. Rashmi Mathew: Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon, educator at UCL Institute of Ophthalmology, and Deputy Director for the Undergraduate Education Directorate at Moorfields.

Requirements:

Fluency in English and a degree or interest in leadership and management are recommended prerequisites.
