About the course
This course is part of the RCOG Core Knowledge series.
This course provides a basic introduction to the principles of radiotherapy and treatment delivery, its role within the treatment of gynaecological malignancy and the impact of treatment upon the patient.
When you have completed this course you should be able to demonstrate knowledge of:
- how radiotherapy works
- how radiotherapy can be delivered
- indications for radiotherapy in gynaecological malignancies
- the patient journey through radiotherapy treatment
- important side effects of radiotherapy
