About the course
Welcome to this course on Risk management, which is part 6 of the Management, Governance and Training within the NHS module.
When you have completed this course, you will be able to:
- define risk management
- understand the risk management process
- develop an understanding of risk identification including the trigger list for incident reporting in obstetrics and gynaecology
- understand the concept of Adverse Clinical Event (ACE), Serious Untoward Incident (SI), and the process of investigation, escalation and monitoring
- develop an understanding of how to investigate and analyse an incident
- understand risk treatment and the concept of a risk register.
