About the course

Over the last 15 years there has been an increase in the number of clinical services specifically for first-episode psychosis (FEP), notably early intervention in psychosis teams. However, people are often unclear about why specific attention has been focused on FEP.

In this second module in a series of two, we will look at:

  • the specific treatment approaches for FEP,
  • the outcome and heterogeneity of the first psychotic presentation,
  • the service models for early intervention in psychosis and the evidence for the effectiveness of these models.
