This two-day practical skills course focuses on developing your operative skills using endoscopes, drills and laryngoscopic equipment, while allowing you to develop further skills that will be useful in the operating theatre. You’ll benefit from a unique opportunity to practice common techniques using animal tissue, all supervised by highly experienced ENT surgeons.

After attending this course, you should be able to: 

  • Understand and describe basic concepts and techniques relevant for ENT surgery
  • Identify and use instrumentation relevant for ENT surgery
  • Perform basic skills in tissue handling
  • Demonstrate how the knowledge and skills gained on this course map on to those expected for entry in ST3, including basic surgical skills and anatomy relevant to otolaryngology
